When you’re looking through the view finder, what you see is only the start of what you get.

The prints from this shoot in a Texas field are a perfect example of what I mean. You start with a good photo. But much of the magic – and many of the decisions – happen at the edit desk.

“Hey, I did my hair…”

As if she didn’t usually do her ‘do. She liked how her hair looked that day and saw me with my camera bag, so she asked me if I’d take a few. I found a nice big window and let the natural light do the rest.
